The Mid-India Christian Mission was started in 1970. There are now six families involved in the mission.  

 

Vivert was born and raised in Damoh, India.  In 1991, he received his Master's degree in mathematics from the University of Sagar.  Vivert, seeing the need for more Christian workers in India, redirected his life plan.  He joined the work of the mission full-time.  In order to better prepare himself, Vivert came to Atlanta, GA to attend Atlanta Christian College.  Vivert married Neelam Archana Dass, who is from Bilaspur, in the summer of 1993.  Neelam has a degree in biology from Ghasidas University.  In 1994, the Lalls returned to Atlanta to finish Vivert's program of study.  They returned to India in September of 1996 to work full time with the mission.  In May, 2002, Vivert received his Doctor of Divinity from United Theological Seminary, Secunderabad. Their ministry has witnessed tremendous growth in the past years, spreading to four different states. There are also now training centers in three states and Nepal.  The members of Second contributed money to help pay for one of the training centers.
