At the age of 3, we strive for the following to ensure a successful transition:

1. Develop an understanding of who God is, and how He can be my friend and my Savior.
2. Be able to use manners efficiently; please, thank you, excuse me.
3. Know when to apologize without prompting by the teacher.
4. Ask to be excused before leaving the table.
5. Remember to clear their dishes after every meal.
6. Using nice touches when playing with our friends.
7. Learn to use words to better communicate their feelings instead of hitting, screaming, and biting.
8. Sit in circle time with crossed legs, quiet voices, and listening ears.
9. Be able to walk down the hall with quiet voices, walking feet, and hands to themselves.
10. Master potty training before their next birthday.
11. We would like them to remember to wash their hands and faces after meals, pottying, and art activities.
12. Start to use pencils, markers, and scissors properly without coloring or cutting the table, their neighbors, or themselves.
13. Learn to keep the toys they are playing with in their designated areas.
14. Clean up their toys when they are first asked to.
15. Start to recognize their name and the letter it begins with.
16. Be able to say ABC's
17. Have the ability to count 1 to 5, at least.
