Family? I’m married to my partner in ministry, Molly Goodwin.  I also have a daughter named Madisyn (born in 2003) and a son named Teagyn (born in 2005).

Favorite restaurant? Definitely “First Wok”!  It is a Chinese restaurant in Lincoln, Illinois!

Favorite book? Oh I can’t think of the name of it.  I hate when this happens.  It starts with a “B”  and I think it ends with an “ible”!

Favorite Scripture? Romans 12:1-2

Favorite sport? Basketball  (Been an Illini fan forever!)

Favorite candy? Reese’s Pieces

If you were a super hero, what would your super power be? It would definitely be to read peoples’ minds because dealing with Jr. High students, or High School students, or pretty much any living being, it is hard to tell what they are really thinking.

Personal Quirks? None if you ask me, but don’t ask my wife!

Favorite vacation spot? Sarasota Florida!  Most relaxing place I have ever been in my life!

What you love about Second? My favorite thing about Second is the people.  I’ve learned over the years that people aren’t perfect, but I truly feel that the people of Second are truly trying to make the right choices, and they give us great support for our ministry.  

A little more about me: I graduated from Lincoln Christian College in 1996 with a degree in Christian Education.  I played basketball in college and Randy Kirk (a former preacher at 2nd) was my coach.  My wife Molly and I were married here at 2nd in June of 2000.  I truly have a passion for the students and parents of the Danville area.  I see a real need for God in Danville, and I think God wants me to be here.  I love to play sports and video games.  I can definitely say I don’t get to do either of those much anymore.  I am definitely happy in life because I have a great wife, great kids, and a great church!
